Pole support, screw and washer. It's easy to fasten screw and washer from beneath running surface to pole support above. Lock washer provides excellent resistance to repeated vibration. Use 9/16" socket or wrench for hex screw.
Want to reduce loose fitting, rattling and non-vertical poles? Our pole supports are machined to a tight fit with the inside of PVC poles. Unlike cups that hold the outside of the pole, this allows a clean line for the full pole.
Our pole supports are easy to replace in the rare instance of failure. Welded pole supports that fail require major repairs to or replacement of the base. Not welding also makes for cheaper shipping.
Lock washer is also called 'flex washer' or 'Belleville spring washer'. It typically holds tight for months or years. We recommend you use a standard power driver (with a 9/16" socket) to tighten the screw. If you have problems with loosening in spite of the spring washer, try applying a little LOCTITE RED to the screw threads.
